Welcome to Scent Board. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of scent-board.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Scent Board is a digital tool for organising and developing perfumery formulas, operated as an independent project. Throughout these Terms "we", "our", and "us" refer to the operator of Scent Board.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for any activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@scent-board.com.
One person, one account. Don't create multiple accounts to circumvent limits.
The Free plan includes a limited number of formulas, projects, and materials, plus access to all themes. Specific limits are shown in the in-app pricing screen and may change with notice.
Pro plans (Monthly subscription or one-time Lifetime) unlock unlimited formulas, projects, materials, and additional features such as PDF export, batch calculator, and reverse-engineering tools.
Prices are listed in US dollars. Sales tax / VAT may be added depending on your location.
Pro Monthly automatically renews each billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the in-app billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep Pro access until then. We do not issue pro-rated refunds for partial periods.
Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase that grants Pro access for as long as the Service operates. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the Service, not your personal lifetime. If we permanently shut down the Service, we will provide reasonable notice.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for Pro Lifetime purchases and the first month of any new Pro Monthly subscription. After that, sales are final but you can cancel any future renewals.

You own everything you create in Scent Board — formulas, materials, projects, notes, uploaded images. We claim no ownership over your content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you. We do not use your content to train AI, advertise, or share with anyone.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload (e.g. material photos). Don't upload content that infringes someone else's rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Some features use third-party AI services (e.g. for image generation or material enrichment). When you use these features, the prompt text or image you provide is sent to the AI provider for processing. We do not retain your prompts beyond the request, but the AI provider may. See the relevant provider's policy for details.
AI-generated content is provided "as is". We make no warranties about its accuracy, safety, or fitness for purpose. Don't rely on AI suggestions for safety-critical perfumery decisions (IFRA compliance, allergen avoidance, etc.) — always verify with authoritative sources.
Scent Board is an organisational tool. It helps you record formulas, percentages, and notes — but it is not a substitute for professional perfumery training, IFRA certification, or regulatory compliance.
You are solely responsible for:
We provide tools for record-keeping; we do not provide regulatory or safety advice.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may perform maintenance that briefly interrupts access. We are not liable for downtime caused by our hosting providers or other circumstances beyond our control.
We back up your data, but you should periodically export your formulas using the built-in export feature for your own records.
The Scent Board name, logo, design, and software are our intellectual property. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of the Service itself without our written permission. Your right to use the Service is limited to the access we provide under these Terms.
You can delete your account at any time from in-app settings or by emailing us. Upon deletion, your data is removed within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, illegal activity, or non-payment of subscription fees. We will give reasonable notice where practical.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Connecticut, unless local consumer law gives you the right to sue elsewhere.
